Democratize Your Link Building With “LinkDip”

Just about anyone out there who works in Search Engine Optimization or social media knows the frustration that can be found when searching for a source of credible backlinks or good social media interaction. The environment that exists out there for anyone looking to boost their pagerank is downright hostile.

Nobody within their right mind appreciates link requests…and just as few people are willing to aquiesce when it comes to social interaction. If you would like to experiment with this frustration on your own…try asking a random stranger to give a facebook “like” to a piece of content that you’ve created on the internet…let me give you a little spoiler alert, it ain’t gonna happen.

That’s why I was particularly thrilled last week when I discovered a handy new link building social network in the form of Linkdip.com through one of my friends who works in the Phoenix Real Estate Business. Watch this little intro video that they’ve put together to get a feel their service.

After a full week of using Linkdip I can personally testify that I’ve gotten some decent links and some handy tweets and likes out of the deal….and I’ve tried my best to fill up those same requests for others. Overall, Linkdip is a sound idea with a pretty decent execution, but it’s going to require that people who actually sign up for the service be willing to give as much as they get…which could pose a problem if the service falls in to too many “Black Hat” hands. It’s too early to tell whether this service will live up to its potential, and only time will tell if the idea behind democratizing the process of building backlinks and sharing content is going to pan out as well as it should….but they are off to a really decent start.
